Lyrics

It’s Nice to Get Away
Songwriter: Gary Davis 9/26

In all of my days, I hardly leave my town
I'm content to stay close to those I have found
That love me ... and I love them, everyone
So, when I do take a trip, I like to get back home

It's Nice to Get Away ... and travel all around
Nice to see how things are done ... in another town
The more I do travel, the more I do roam
Best part of gettin' away is when I get back home

Last week I had a chance to travel over seas
I was excited to visit Athens in Greece
Went to London, then Paris ... then on to Rome
I found I was more excited when I got back home

It's Nice to Get Away ... and travel all around
Nice to see how things are done ... in another town
The more I do travel, the more I do roam
Best part of gettin' away is when I get back home

The more I do travel, the more I do roam
Best part of gettin' away is when I get back home
