Lyrics
Church Made of Stone
Daddy took me and my brother, along with my mother
To the Church in town made of Stone
We’d go every Sunday Morning to hear the Choir singing
and we’d all sing along
At The Cross, at the Cross where I first saw the Light
And the burdens of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day
Preacher was a quiet man, kind of big and kind of shy,
When he spoke, his voice would ring
When he spoke of Jesus being our firm foundation the
Choir would start to sing
Rock of Ages, Cleft for me
Let me hide myself in thee
I loved that old Church made of Stone, oh how my
mind wanders back to the days of old
I find myself humming a sweet familiar hymn,
We sang so very long ago
Precious Memories, how they Linger
How they ever flood my soul
In the stillness of the Midnight
Precious sacred scenes unfold
