    Update -10/7/2025

Many of you have commented on the many songs I have posted the past few months .. I greatly appreciate those comments!  Some have said that I should get them into the hands of artist who will get them into the world to enjoy. I greatly appreciate those comments as well.
Well, I have some Great News to Share ...
Since I have been retired, July 2025, I have been working on writing songs, cleaning up and finishing songs that I started many years ago, and posting songs on my website, here at (garydavissongwriter.com)
    The results are ...
I have spoken to two National Bluegrass Bands who each of them wants to record two of my songs. I won't share who they are now, or the songs chosen, but after they are recorded, I'll gladly share. They both will be heading into the studio starting this winter and into next year.
    Update - 12/30/25
As we close out 2025 …
I now have 60 songs on this web page.  I am so blessed to be able to do this and really blessed by all of the encouragement I receive from you; My dear family and friends, from entertainers who have visited my website and listened to the songs, and by people I don't know.  All of you have been so gracious!
Well … This Winter, I will have 2 of my Gospel songs cut by Kenny & Amanda Smith, and in 2026, I will have 1 Gospel and 1 secular Bluegrass song cut by Rock Hearts.
    Update - 1/5/26
I was just made aware, David Parmley just recorded “Blind Old Gentleman”.  I am so Blessed!  I am working with other artist who wish to record in 2026.  This has been an exciting past 6 months!  David Parmley's Project will be out early 2026.
    Update - 2/10/26
Willie Wells & The Blueridge Mtn. Grass located in South Carolina are recording two of my songs during this month of February.  They are recording "Carolina Gal" and “When You See Life Coming, Take a Bite”.  I'm excited to hear their recordings.   There are a number of Groups & Artist who are making decisions on songs at this time.  It's all very exciting.   Thank you all so much for the wonderful encouraging words you have been sending my way. I greatly appreciate it.
    Update - 3/9/26
Dale Ann Bradley has asked me to put two Gospel Songs On Hold for her.  “I Am Not Alone" & “Lord. I Need You now”.   I am so Humbled.  Also received word from Willie Wells & The Blueridge Mtn. Grass that they will be releasing "Carolina Gal" as a single in April.   And David Parmley's Project, “Then & Now” will be released at the end of March.  “Blind Old Gentleman” is on that album, and I am so amazed at that.  Rock Hearts will be in the studio this Spring and Summer recording “God is Nearby” & “Speak of the Devil”.    Be on the lookout for these Albums coming soon!

    Update - 3/24/26
"Bluegrass Cardinals Now and Then" was released yesterday 3/23/26 with “Old Blind Gentleman” the 3rd song on the Album.  The song title was changed but that's okay.  This song has some great musicians and vocalist (Sonya & Becky Isaacs) beside the fine voice of David Parmley.  I am humbled and blessed that this song made it on the album.
    Update - 4/18/26
Yes … "Bluegrass Cardinals Now and Then" was released on 3/23/26 with “Old Blind Gentleman” the 3rd song on the Album.  Received word on 4/15 “Old Blind Gentleman” has been released as a single and is playing on Spotify and SiriusXM.  I am hearing some great compliments from some special people this past week.
Rock Hearts are heading into the recording studio the week of 4/20 to cut “But God is Nearby”.  4/25 Received an unfinished copy of "But God is Nearby fro Rock Hearts.  I am extremely pleased with how it has come out.  You all will just love it! Willie Wells & The Blueridge Mtn. Grass has recorded “Carolina Gal” and “When you see Life Coming, take a Bite” and is soon to be released.   A lot of good things in the works .. I am Blessed and Giving God all the Glory.
    Update - 5/25/26
"Old Blind Gentleman" has been playing on SiriusXM for over a month and has been played over 75 times, and on this date, it has appeared for the first time on Banjo Top 20 Songs Chart at #19.   On 5/15 I was asked to place “Ridin' on a Train” and “Lost & Found” (which I co-wrote with Rick Lang) on hold for Willie Wells & The Blueridge Mtn. Grass.  A lot sure has happened in a very short time.  I am Blessed and Giving God all the Glory.
